Optic?

What is an optic? I know of "optics"as a scientific discipline, and of "fiber optics", but not of an "optic" as such (the word "optic" [also "optical"] is an adjective); do you maybe mean a "lens"? Maelli (talk) 13:43, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
