Hi,

I'm afraid there's too many problems with this article to consider promoting it to GA at this time. I've left a detailed list of comments and that hope whoever decides to work on this in the future will find it helpful in bringing the article up to GA standard. • the taxobox is incomplete:
  • both the species and binomial parameters should be used, as well as the "binomial_authority"
  • the order is missing, and the family is given as Enteridiidae, but my Dictionary of the Fungi (2008), in the section on "Protozoan fungal analogues", gives family Cribrariaceae, which in turn is in the order Liceida. For completeness, the article should probably mention the (invalid) family Lindbladiaceae, circumscribed by Marcel Locquin in 1972 (presumably to contain this genus)
  • there's much unexplained jargon in the "Characteristics" section that makes it hard to follow the text (even for me, and I'm used to this type of writing!). What is pseudoaethalioide/aethalioid? Stipe? Iridescent? Dictydian granule? Distydian pellets? Is sporangiat a typo?
  • The prose needs to be copyedited throughout, some examples:
  • "produces a permanent subsurface for the fruit body." on the fruit body?
  • "It is smooth on the edges and partly smooth," ?
  • "Dictydian granules are found in the shape darker or colourless pellets," ?
  • "The spores are as spore mass ochre to olive brown"
  • mention should be made somewhere of the variant simplex – who described it and when, is it still considered a valid variety, and if so, how it differs from the main type?
  • also, what about the species Lindbladia effusa? What happened to it to make this genus monotypic? How about Lindbladia cribrarioides?
  • it would be useful to give a link to Fries's prologue; this is available at Biodiversity Heritage Library
  • what are the synonyms of Lindbladia tubulina? Suirely it's been shuffled around during its taxonomic history?
  • no discussion of birefringence? According to the (single) source used, this is an importance taxonomic character in the myxos, and its presence/absence in this species should be mentioned.
  • in the source, much emphasis is given about the presence of calcium in the granules as a taxonomic character, but this is not mentioned in the article
  • this is also an article on a genus, so some mention should be made on how it compares to the other genera in the family (Cricraria and Dictydium I think, but should check the literature to make sure this is up to date)
  • it also grows on sawdust ("the largest fruiting bodies collected frequently occur on sawdust piles"), but this is not mentioned in the article.
  • there are several article that pop up in a lit search that appear as if they'd have interesting or useful information to help flesh out this article:
