Confusion
[edit]It is a totally pointless confusion between geology and human (pre)history in too many en.wiki articles, including here. Together with the use of the ambiguous "BP" indication, which might still go in geology because of the far back processes, but never in human history, because for these limited guys we live today in the year 72 after "BP" in the sense of radiocarbon dating, or in the year 20 after BP in the sense of many sloppy geologists.2A02:8108:9640:1A68:4DF8:A0AF:4F2D:BE71 (talk) 12:46, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- I would not have used BP because the difference between it and number of years ago is irrelevant with a figure like 42,000, but it is linked as [[Before present|BP]] to show the sense it is used in. Dudley Miles (talk) 12:58, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
