Architecture

[edit]

Is the OC Tanner Building really Queen Anne style? I think it qualifies as Jacobethan but I'm no expert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.67.199.41 (talk) 02:34, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm no expert either, but I've found two references to the newer blocks being Queen Anne style and none to any of the buildings being Jacobethan. See | OU page and | George Monbiot article. Trezatium (talk) 00:55, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First Oxford college to admit female and male students on an equal basis

[edit]

I have removed the sentence "Linacre was also the first Oxford college to admit female and male students on an equal basis." as it has no reference and the University History states that an earlier college "Nuffield had been mixed from the beginning".[1] I have left a note in Talk in case anyone can clarify and reference the sentence.TSventon (talk) 15:54, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New name

[edit]

When should the news that "the College will approach the Privy Council to ask for permission to change the name to Thao College" be included in the lead? Possibly an accurate mention should be added now, otherwise inaccurate versions will continue to be added and reverted. TSventon (talk) 11:06, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated photos

[edit]

Quite a few of the photos on this page are from before the renovations. I'm happy to take some more recent ones and upload them. The library, for instance, looks wildly different and quite impressive. 192.76.8.66 (talk) 11:18, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
