Talk:Limit Break/VfD
Appearance
from VfD:
Pointless, unencyclopedic page about some moves from a game. Delete. Somebody in the WWW 11:01, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Keep I'm somewhat on the fence about this one, but limit breaks appear in more than one game, and are now appearing outside the FF series as well. I'm adding some info about limit breaks in Kingdom of Loathing too. Don't delete just because something is relatively short, as it's already well past stub length. Starblind 13:46, Jan 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Delete. Unencyclopedic fancruft. Martg76 16:25, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Marginal keep. Not funcruft IMO, but unless more Limit Breaks can be found in other games, I'd suggest merging this with the main Final Fantasy article since it's somewhat shaky as a standalone article. 23skidoo 22:47, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Weak Keep, agree with Starbind but its notability remains marginal for now. Megan1967 00:12, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

- Delete. Basically a Final Fantasy topic that can be covered in broader articles on the series. Indrian 07:33, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Note to anyone voting/considering delete on this article: When proposed for VfD, this article had information relating to two games, both Final Fantasy video games. However, it has since been expanded to six games, including games outside the FF series, and one that isn't even a video game. Please consider this when voting. Starblind 13:42, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Comment: It still seems that this is a rather minor element of all six, and those six games are just a few among many fantasy role-playing games. I would thus consider limit breaks non-encyclopedic unless they existed in a substantial proportion of all games of the genre or a substantial presence in the fantasy literature can be shown. - Keep. Fits in nicely with preexisting articles. Xezbeth 17:19, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Keep if it's referenced in Kingdom of Loathing, it is notable. Grue 07:44, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
end moved discussion
I'm planning on re-vfding this article if my recent deletion nomination gets deleted. Anyone here wanna help me look for more gamecrufty articles?
