It would be interesting for the article to contain a few words on the similarities and differences between fjords and limans. - Mauco17:11, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fjords are formed when an Alpine mountain range comes down to the sea. Limans are formed on gently sloping coasts and don't have rocky shores. That's my simple explanation anyway. Balcer17:51, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! You should add that info. Just don't say "Alpine" because I believe that fjords are present in Scandinavia, Argentina, and possibly other places (where there are no Alps). - Mauco22:27, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A fjord is created by the ice coming from mountain or from sea. For liman - see the articol. Vlaton, 27 July 2006
