Age of LJB
[edit]"For years, publishers have given inaccurate accounts of her year of birth, which has remained unknown until she openly acknowledged her age in an interview for the Detroit News in January 2005."
Her birth year was given in a short author's presentation in the French books ("Née en 1916, Lilian Jackson Braun...) for many years before LJB has confirmed it. More precisely, in French pocket edition (1991) of The Cat who Saw Red (Le chat qui voyait rouge, fourth in the serie, but the first one published in French pocket edition), Paris : Christian Bourgois, collection "10/18" n° 2188, 1991, ISBN 2-264-01565-9...

- Her obituary, which I have added to the references section, can be used to update and expand this article. Among other confirmations, it says "Lilian Jackson Braun Bettinger was born on June 20, 1913, in Willimansette, Chicopee Falls, Mass." - Dravecky (talk) 06:31, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
"The husband who..."
[edit]Something doesn't add up here:
"She resided in Tryon, North Carolina, with her (second) husband of 32 years, Earl Bettinger, and their two cats.[5] Each of her books is dedicated to "Earl Bettinger, the Husband Who..." "
She died in June 2011. If she was married to Bettinger for 32 years, they presumably married in 1979. But her first books were published in the 1960s. She surely wasn't dedicating her books to "Earl Bettinger, the Husband Who..." over 10 years before she married him? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Freespirit456 (talk • contribs) 22:31, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- Book #9, published in 1989, doesn't have that dedication. 104.153.40.58 (talk) 17:08, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
