I wondering why after 32 years this Japanese release is now being considered Madonna's first EP and now added in her album discography timeline? In Japan, many of Madonna's single releases were expanded versions, sometimes with combinations of two releases e.g. "Deeper and Deeper", "Remixed Prayers" and "Rain". This was only released in Japan until 2016 when it was reissued again. I really don't think it warrants its own page and this should be included in the "Like a Virgin" single page. jwad....blah | blah | blah20:44, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Should this not be merged into the LAV single page
I am struggling to see the relevance of this page as its a Japanese EP which was common place in the 1980s and 90s. Madonna released many during this time in Japan, usually tracklisting a few singles together. The only reason this page has been created was because it was rereleased a few years back for Record Store Day. I think this page should be merged into the Like A Virgin singles page or on the album page. It does not need it own standalone page and was only originally released in one country. Its not relevant. jwad....blah | blah | blah08:53, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Why should this Japanese EP be included in the general chronology?
I can't see why this particular Japanese EP should be included in the general album chronology when other Japanese EPs are not.
Remixed & Revisited, which is another EP in the chronology, was at least a global release and not linked to any single.
If anything, this belongs to a single chronology, and might even be just a section of the Like a Virgin single page (see other topics here).
Following @Jwad's remarks, I think today's contributors misunderstand the status of these Japanese EPs, which were basically glorified maxi-singles. In general, I think we should always be careful of anachronism. Lchevassu (talk) 11:52, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
First it was in November 2016, then in March 2020 and then in February 2023, and I'm surprised that no user has responded to these three messages. I agree with Jwad and Lchevassu's observations. What relevance does this article have? Is it only because it had a release in U.S. in 2016 that it is considered worthy? Maybe that is the reason —I am not familiar with the notability policies here— and if that is the case, it does not cover important aspects such as Background, Composition, or Critical reviews. I do not see any articles for Remixed Prayers or Super Club Mixes. I agree with the users who suggested moving this content to the "Like a Virgin" article, and I would like more members of the WikiProject Madonna to give their opinion. It is not good that, after three messages from two users (one posted exactly eight years ago), no one has taken the time to respond here. I hardly edit anything on the English Wikipedia, but after reading these messages, I thought it was important to share my opinion. Regards. Vera (talk) 22:30, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
