"Lightspeed" in Star Wars

[edit]

In the fictional Star Wars universe, the term "lightspeed" is often used as a synonym for hyperspace. Should this be added onto the list?

In the article's history section, JohnBlackburne reverted this in a previous edit, stating that this is already covered in the first term. However, the first term deals with the speed of light itself, not "lightspeed" as used in Star Wars.

The text of the entry I wish to add would be as follows:

Please let me know if this is acceptable.

I cannot recall how or when it's used in Star Wars but as it's a relatively common term they are surely using it to refer to the speed of light. I don't see anything in the linked article that says different, or any mention of lightspeed at all. If it were mentioned as a synonym for the speed of light then that article is already linked.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 11:55, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The term "light speed" is used three times in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, all to refer to faster than light travel, or "hyperspace". (See the transcript here.) It should probably be included in at least the See also section.—67.180.24.57 (talk) 04:05, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
