move done for sense
[edit]Hello, the article was moved from characteristic light because the term is not correct.--Read-write-services (talk) 02:25, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Irrelevant information
[edit]Hi I'm not sure what the recent edits are supposed to be related to, the text is referencing the chart to the right, then some information regarding "eclipse light" has been added-What is the relevance here?--Read-write-services (talk) 22:54, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
sounds
[edit]Should a light characteristic include a lighthouse's bells, whistles, sirens, etc.? If so, how should they be expressed for a particular lighthouse? —EncMstr (talk) 19:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Sectored light
[edit]Should an explanation of what a sectored light is be added? --Muhandes (talk) 06:20, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Merger proposal
[edit]I propose to merge Flashing light, Occulting light and Isophase light into Light characteristic. These are three stub pages which convey very little information that cannot be conveyed as a section in the major page. In fact, most of the information is already conveyed there. They all share the same sources as well. --Muhandes (talk) 07:42, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- As the articles now stand, I agree. I note, though, that Flashing light discusses only the mariner's sense of the term -- it might pay to expand it a little. . . Jim - Jameslwoodward (talk to me • contribs) 13:39, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Okay I think that merging those other articles INTO Light Characteristic is the way to go-Good Idea as they are describing the actual characteristic of the lights' behaviour.Read-write-services (talk) 23:52, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
