now or historical??
[edit]It is not clear of the article refers to the climate as it was 20 years ago, or as it has been in the last 10 years post climate change? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.162.68.99 (talk) 19:04, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- Your question may be based on a mistaken assumption.. The climate is warming, but only by about 0.13 °C / decade. Thus, the climate of 20 years ago is largely the same as it is today. (The warming rate is accelerating, however, and may speed up to 0.3 °C / decade). Thus, you may wish to re-ask your question in 2030. —hike395 (talk) 00:26, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Merge Climate of the Alps into Life zones of central Europe
[edit]There appears to be two partial articles about the life zones of the Alps and central Europe: Climate of the Alps and Life zones of central Europe. I would propose merging these, and working to improve the merged article by adding more references and data. What do other editors think? — hike395 (talk) 04:36, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- I have a possibly better idea: I can leave Climate of the Alps as a short stub, just about the climate, and then move most of the material about biogeography over to here. I'll make those edits now, but we can discuss further improvements. — hike395 (talk) 14:24, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
