I finally have some time off, so I'm glad to grab this one. Tkbrett (✉) 11:13, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... similar to other songs of this period. Similar how? This could mean either that the song sounds similar to others of the period, or that the method of composition is similar to other songs Bowie was writing at this time. I presume it's the latter, but the wording could be clearer.
  • Fixed
  • Rick Wakeman reflecting on the recording of "Life on Mars?", 12 January 2016 I don't think we need to date this quotation so precisely. Just "2016" would be fine.
  • Done
  • Doggett and O'Leary compares the tom-roll as evoking the timpani from 2001: A Space Odyessey (1968) ... fix wording.
  • Fixed
  • I think the Subsequent releases sections can be merged into the Release section. WikiProject song doesn't have much advice regarding layout, though MOS:OVERSECTION does mention to avoid having single paragraph sections.
  • Done
  • Drop the Track listing section completely per this RfC.
  • Done
  • WikiProject Songs doesn't offer a layout guide, but the personnel section typically goes below any cover versions sections (refer to the FAs "Hey Jude" and "Something").
  • Done
  • Consider joining the Charts and Certifications sections into one section with two columns. Your call though, it's mostly personal preference.
  • I would but since there are no year-end charts I think we can leave it as is.

Great stuff yet again. You've clearly worked very hard on this one. This is beyond the scope of this review, but I guess this article could be relisted to the more accurate title of "Life on Mars?", no? Tkbrett (✉) 19:41, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
