[edit]Hi all,
I was just wondering if editors could speak to why reversions are being made to this page which are critical of LifeTime Fitness' business practices. Some of these reversions might be considered by some as possible white-washing and/or censorship. For instance, the fact that WikiScanner indicates these edits are originating from LifeTime Fitness' HQ might seem encyclopedic to some, but these comments were removed without explanation.
Is there room for discussion on this topic? I am hopeful that editors might annotate any reversions that remove criticism with an explanation for the edit instead of leaving the reason field blank. Or, alternately, perhaps the matter can be further discussed here. 199.18.112.253 (talk) 21:56, 23 November 2010 (UTC) This is obviously someone who works/has worked for LT. There is no mention of lawsuits or negative events concerning the company. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.118.77.19 (talk) 17:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Yikes!!
[edit]This article requires a ton of work. Anyone up to the challenge??

No thanks. [The Donut Man]
Ha. This article sounds like a cheap (well, free actually) attempt at advertising. Biased, anyone? haha. I'll try to work on it, but... YelloCello (talk) 02:50, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia's rules
[edit]Wikipedia has rules against advertising. See WP:SPAM. Material must have references, in keeping with Wikipedia's policies such as WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NEUTRAL. Further, we are not allowed to copy-paste stuff from the web here in Wikipedia. If people would like to expand this article (properly) please post a note on my talk page, thanks, and I may be inclined to help if I am asked politely according to etiquette rules.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 12:24, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
More problems
[edit]Hey if people would like a decent article on this subject, there are ways to go about doing it; one way is to ask me to work on it by writing on my talk page. If you would like to try this on your own, please understand there is a learning curve here -- Wikipedia has rules, conventions, practices, and the current effort is violating many of them. Wikipedia is not a list of locations or products. There should be a summary of why the subject is notable. If you'd like to improve this article, please learn how to write something WP:NEUTRAL; avoid listing its products; it is not advertising.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 02:54, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Blatant Advertisement
[edit]Despite the efforts of a few people, this article remains a blatant advertisement for a fairly disreputable company and should be deleted in my opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.112.21.55 (talk) 18:16, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Regards, Spintendo 17:36, 26 April 2019 (UTC)- (additional reply) This would probably need a disambiguated title given all the other stuff at Lifetime. ☆ Bri (talk) 18:52, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
External links
[edit]I've added the external link tag, not because of the official link (which is fine), but because of the inline external links. As per WP:EL, inline external links are not permitted. I haven't had a chance yet to go through to see if they should be modified to be inline citations (which a quick glance tells me might be the case). Please do not remove the tag until this has been addressed. Thank you, Jmertel23 (talk) 11:04, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

- What I think should be changed: Replace Life Time Fitness at the top of the page with Life Time, Inc.
- Why it should be changed: Life Time dropped fitness from its company name in 2017 (I work at Life Time and just wanted to edit the correct name)
- References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): https://www.bloomberg.com/profile/company/1508335D:US
