Jungenzeit refers to the beginning of the composer's career, before his technique was fully developed. It somestimes carries the stigma of not being up to the composer's later high standards. R. First, it is not Jungenzeit (boy's time) but Jugendzeit (? youth's time ?). Furthermore, as the article states, Mahler was not an adolescent when he composed the songs. Plus, it is completely unclear, why some editors have chosen to add "aus der Jugendzeit" to the title, but it is clear that it was not Mahler who did. --FordPrefect42 12:11, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
