Merger proposal
[edit]Given the similarities in telescopes, institutions and personnel, this survey is obviously the same as the one covered by the article California and Carnegie Planet Search. WolfmanSF (talk) 18:39, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- I believe that you're correct. At the least, California and Carnegie Planet Search is a predecessor to this survey. As far as I can tell, the press has largely referred to this project as the "Lick-Carnegie...", so I think it would be OK to at least link California and Carnegie Planet Search to this article, and to probably just merge it here. - I've added most of the content of the California and Carnegie Planet Search article. A slight complication is that there is now a California Planet Search which appears to be separate. Maybe it deserves a separate article. However, since the Lick-Carnegie Exoplanet Survey doesn't appear to have a web site, I can't confirm this. I don't have the time to sort this out at the moment.
