Availabilty on OS X / Windows

[edit]

Is that really worth mentioning? The provided windows installer is outdated, OS X only works if using homebrew (iirc). --Mineo (talk) 08:33, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

wot's... uh the deal?

[edit]

I just read this article from top to bottom and I still don't know what libvirt actually does. FAIL. 108.85.184.113 (talk) 02:56, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, the "manage" word is too widely used and it does not explain what libvirt acually does. What about a bit more verbose definition? e.g. "It provides an API that hides the details of the details of virtualization technology, networking and storage" --K0zka (talk) 17:53, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

libvirt and docker

[edit]

I don't see anything about Docker using libvirt as interface: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Docker_(software)#/media/File:Docker-linux-interfaces.svg

I think someone with enough knowledge should add a section about it, thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XP 2600 (talkcontribs) 12:55, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
