[edit]So many losers from China keep defaming Li everywhere they can, including here. Do you guys have anything better to do? Come on, have a life.

She is a talented and diligent girl. She has achieved numerous awards and made continuous improvements in every aspect over the past 5 years.
As her fan, I've seen serveral concerts of hers and deeply impressed by the songs she sang and her performance on the stage.
No matter you like her or not, she is one of the most popular singers in China. and believe or not, I enjoy her show, love her music and will support her forever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Liyunchunsfan (talk • contribs) 14:15, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I love her
[edit]Yes, really love her :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.64.182.15 (talk) 16:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
People all have their freedom to express their personal opinions -- either defaming or not, their opinions are every bit as valuable as yours. I have witnessed one of her performances during the competition, and I think her voice was absolutely abysmal --- sour and low with little aesthetic taste. To date, I still do not understand how she even passed the pre-selection. The main article says ``wonderful voice --- come on, give me a break, that was nothing but noise. It made me feel that the entertainment industry in China now is a joke, more so than ever as manifested in this little show.
- Obviously based on singing abilities alone, Li Yichun wouldn't make it to the top ten. Every neutral who watched the competition knew Li won on criteria other than her singing ability. If it is merely based on vocals, Jane Chang would have won - but her image is not adrogynous, so she lost a lot of votes from girls in their teens and early twenties.
- If you listen to how Li Yuchun sings, she keeps hitting notes lower than how her natural voice ought to be hitting. It's going to damage her vocal cords in the long term, if she keep forcing a false alto like that. 121.7.236.203 (talk) 15:41, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Space Oddity
[edit]The sentence describing her appearance is wrong: the look if anything is like David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust persona. It's confusing as the video for space oddity and the album cover all have the spiky hair look, but that's as they were done for the re-release of the song, to capitalise on Bowie's fame.
But I'm reluctant to change it as that is OR by me and as it stands it's properly sourced - it's lifted verbatim from the Time article. I am sure the Time article is wrong, as given above, but I have no source for it. Does anyone have anything better to replace it with, with a maybe more up to date source, as I'm reluctant to remove a sourced fact even if the source is clearly mistaken.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 19:00, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Objectivity?
[edit]I am sure she is a very distinguished artist, but I think the article would benefit from some filtering and toning it down somewhat. There are certain quotes taken straight from other website without actual proof (e.g. "everything she wears is sold out immediately"), many phrases are rather a ad for her than a Wikipedia entry and the list of awards she won is odd: The "World Music Award" for instance is probably not the most relevant one given that the show apparently stopped for unexplained reasons for a few years. If ok with everyone, I would take a shot at toning the article down. Any thoughts? Jaeljojo (talk) 12:03, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
