[edit]It occurred to me that Li's title should be Commanding-General of Liaodong or Commander-in-Chief of Liaodong instead of Regional Commander of Liaodong. The job description "zong bing" does not have any regional connotation in it. Furthermore, during the Ming Dynasty, zongbing's were the senior military officers of the provinces and of the 9 frontiers; it was not until the Qing Dynasty that zongbing's were relegated to a sub-provincial (and hence perhaps regional) position. If anything, the word "bing" means soldiers and the word "zong" means commanding or superintending in this context. I thus recommend that we retranslate Li's job title to "Commanding General of Liaodong" or "General Commandant of Liaodong." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.65.204.101 (talk) 23:32, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
