This page is at odds with another page within Wikipedia, link below, and other web sources. This page states Lewis Heim invented the Heim joint but these other sources suggest it was originally conceived by Willy Messerschmitt, or another German working for him, and came to Heim by way of a shot down and subsequently dismantled Messerschmitt Bf109 fighter and that the Allied governments gave Heim in the U.S.A., and the Rose Bearing Company in the UK the opportunity to patent the German invention in their respective countries. 203.123.103.60 (talk) 09:46, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed this too. Ive been able to find a couple places that reference the Nazis inventing it, not Heim. I can't access the cited source, but even it makes it sound like he copied a German invention. GlenH (talk) 17:04, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
