We do not know was he Jewish or not. Of course Soviets were good in falsifications and many Generals of Jewish descent passed for Slavs but we still do not have a definite information. Also, in the Soviet Army were more than 200 Generals of Jewish descent who were registered as "Jewish" in their ethnic identification during the WWII.
