Leukotriene C4

[edit]

The molecular weight and formula for Leukotriene C4 listed on Wikipedia are incorrect, based on Merck Index and on my personal mass spectrometry of this compound. The molecular weight is 625, and not 623 as reported on Wikipedia. Negative ion mass spec yields 624 and positive ion yields 626, thus indicating a molecular weight of 635. The molecular formula has has the wrong number of carbons, hydrogens, and oxygens. Thanks for all your efforts. R. L. Reed, Ph.D. Oregon State University Corvallis, Oregon <e-mail redacted>

Indeed—the chembox data were based on an incorrect PubChem record. Thank you for bringing this to attention, and by all means feel free to make further improvements to the article if you wish. Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 18:00, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Leukotriene C4 is a leukotriene." What an ingenious definition and description! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.157.87.154 (talk) 15:33, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
