Mice ... Adolescents (article section "Off-label use")
[edit]"Letrozole has also been shown to delay the fusing of the growth plates in adolescents mice"... I managed to dig a journal publication on the subject up... except it was adolescent mice, not humans... The following now sentence now has research / citation to support similar action in a human adolescent. Hope this isn't too confusing

Off-Label Use Fixed...
[edit]The ovulation induction paragraph in Off-label use was extremely misleading and hard to read. I've fixed it up - Gunnanmon (talk) 00:41, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
The reference to Canadian Study about birth defects is concerning. I haven't found the study or the warning from the manufacturer but I did find this (somewhat) more credible article at WebMd http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/news/20051130/breast-cancer-drug-not-for-fertility. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.225.107.17 (talk) 23:29, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
The material on fertility usage is contradictory - there's various claims from Indian newspapers that it has negative effects, while at least one cited study says the exact reverse. Allens (talk) 19:26, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Price?
[edit]We need a citation on the price per month that is given or it should be removed. I think the price that is currently listed is far too high —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.103.52.192 (talk) 03:25, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't add it, but the current price in the article looks to be pretty accurate from my experience. - Gunnanmon (talk) 08:56, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Someone removed the price info but Cost effectiveness of letrozole versus anastrozole in postmenopausal women with HR+ early-stage breast cancer. says generic letrozole is expected to be available from June 2011. - Rod57 (talk) 17:53, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
Likely progression-free survival
[edit]A 2012 trial comparing letrozole alone to letrozole + Palbociclib said the addition of palbociclib increased progression-free survival from 10.2 months to 20.2 months.FDA-Approves-Palbociclib - Rod57 (talk) 17:39, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
