hammer and sickle
[edit]Do you think Clobberella's icon is intentionally similar?
While it does look similar, it is indicated in the DVD commentary that the arm is supposed to form a "C" for Clobberela, giving it its odd shape.
Is the title a reference to the book by Brett Easton Ellis? --Morten LJ 19:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Goofs
[edit]1. the time on the clock: I think it's a joke about similar continuity erros in regular movies. Why else should that happen in an animated series?
2. that happens to benders devices all the time. Why mention it?
- WP:EPISODE specifically states that goofs sections should not be included in television episode articles so I have removed them. Stardust8212 17:00, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
What about...
[edit]The reference to The Simpson's Tree House of Horror X Episode Desperately Xeeking Xena
in which Lisa's super hero name is Clobber Girl being related to Leela's Clobberella.
Anyone else think that this is reasonable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Emulous (talk • contribs) 10:12, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Production Notes
[edit]According to TV.com's entry for this episode,
- When Bender gets hit by the kangaroo, the cartoon bobble says "01001010." Translated using the ASCII code, the Hex is "4A." Bluntly, it's supposed to mean "Ahhh!"
- - [1]
So, if the binary for when Bender gets hit is meant to be "4A" (as in "Aaaa!"), why the mention of the binary translation of "J", which is obviously not what was intended? 66.207.82.177 07:38, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- TV.com is not a reliable source so we cannot assume that their interpretation of what the binary was supposed to mean is correct. On the same note, you've raised enough reasonable doubt about the meaning that I have removed the comment from the article altogether. Someone might try checking the DVD commentary to see if it explained there but otherwise I would recommend leaving it out of the article. The point of a wikipedia article isn't to explain every joke in the show anyway so it's not needed. Stardust8212 13:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
