Inactive versus less active
[edit]The term "less active" appears to be more widely used currently than "inactive" (the change is even mentioned here). You may want to incorporate this more modern term into the article. 72Dino (talk) 17:10, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- That's a good point. Do you think the article should be renamed, or will adding less active solve the problem? -- Adjwilley (talk) 18:00, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
- Personally, I don't believe this topic needs a standalone article. I think it would be more appropriate as a section of an existing article. 72Dino (talk) 23:47, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- My intention was to make it a short subsection in Mormons that would be 2-3 sentences long. In researching the topic, I was having a hard time finding stuff published, and the closest thing anywhere on Wikipedia was the article on Jack Mormons. I couldn't stand the thought of mentioning less-active Mormons on the Mormons page, and then linking to Jack Mormon for more information. That's why I created this page. There are no official figures, but based on the non-citeable estimates I've read so far, it looks like 60-80% of Mormons are less active or inactive. If that's the case, I think a separate article would be appropriate to discuss the topic in depth. When I do find citeable sources on the subject, I will fill out this article. -- Adjwilley (talk) 15:16, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- On a different note, I think renaming the article to Less active Mormon is probably a good idea. -- Adjwilley (talk) 15:21, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- If you are going to keep the article, then renaming it to the current term seems appropriate. 72Dino (talk) 15:35, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I will do that now. I'll make "Inactive" redirect. -- Adjwilley (talk) 16:37, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Learned that copying and pasting is not the proper way to move a page. Moved it correctly this time. -- Adjwilley (talk) 18:49, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
