Notability
[edit]I did a media search for this field and came up with only three items that refer to it other than in passing as a venue for an event being reported on:
I don't see any of these conferring notability on the venue. Are there other references that evidence notability? Bongomatic 03:33, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- Same topic of 2, but different article and outlet here. Also, here. I interpret the "significant" in GNG as applying within the scope of the sources themselves, an interpretation that I believe is backed up by the explanation of "significant coverage". By this understanding, it matters more that the field is a major discussion point of the five articles we have than that there are only five articles. In any case, the five come from a total of three reliable, national, secondary sources. For me, that satisfies GNG.
- In addition to this, the stadium is the home venue for a major sport at a Division I institution and has hosted several conference tournaments of a major Division I sport (not that I'm trying to equate college baseball with football or basketball).
I'll have time later to work some of these sources into the article.I've worked some of the sources into the article. Kithira (talk) 13:06, 8 May 2012 (UTC)- The first of those is a press release, and hence not a reliable source. The second one is passing mention in the service of coverage of another topic.
