Citation needed: Admission to the Bar of England and Wales
[edit]Bar admissions are routinely printed in the English broadsheet newspapers. However, I've not been able to locate one for Knowles.
The Michaelmas term bar exam results were published in the Daily Telegraph on 27 October 1938. They confirm that Leonard Knowles passed his final examination with a first class result.[1]
Newspaper reports suggest that Knowles had been admitted to the bar by the time he was married on 8 July 1939.[2]
