Quotes from the article: "Schuhmacher was credited with 23 aerial victories" [...] " He transferred to Jagdverband 44 in March 1945 and claimed a final victory flying the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter." [...] "Leo Schuhmacher flew his only[!) sortie with JV 44 against B-26s that day. His cannons malfunctioned and he was forced to fly through the B-26 formation without firing a shot." His ONLY sortie vs. a FINAL victory?!?!?! PLS explain! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.12.1.242 (talk) 16:07, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Does not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig RS coverage not found link, just passing mentions.
No de.wiki article. The subject did not hold a significant command. Successful completion of missions is not part of SOLDIER. Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists.
