Right, an article about "The Simpsons" with no pictures of the actual episode. Really, Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.152.210.179 (talk) 00:37, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Database is referencing Pat from SNL. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.124.116.101 (talk) 08:29, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Boy I never thought of it before, but I bet you're right. He sure is Patesque. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.186.125 (talk) 03:40, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So good.

Man this episode is dope. Zepheus 01:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I give up.

Goofs:

All the kids leave Mrs. Krabappel's class when Nelson announces that the tree is missing, but only some show up at the spot where the lemon tree used to be.
How is this a goof?

Cultral references:

There are several possible nods to The A-Team, including Bart leading his men on a mission of...
OK listen folks, if you start a sentence with "There are several possible ..." then IT DOES NOT BELONG IN AN ENCYCLOPEDIA.

Quotes: Don't quotes belong in Wikiquote? What is the purpose of including all this "filler" crap here?

Ugh I give up. I came here and thought I'd try to contribute by cleaning up the errors, speculation, and downright poor writing in the Simpsons articles but there is just so much, I don't even know where to start —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.157.107.144 (talk) 06:26, 20 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Pee Wee Reference

[edit]

I'm almost 100% sure that the fight Bart had with the Shelbyville boy (specifically, the 'I know you are, but what am I' argument) is a send up of the fight Pee Wee and Francis had in Pee-wee's Big Adventure (you can watch it on youtube here). Would that count as a cultural reference? Metathesiophobia 07:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stand by Me

[edit]

Isn't Nelson running in to frantically tell everyone something important a reference to Stand By Me? DudleyScardsdale 23:13, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Friday the 13th

[edit]

Anyone else think that when the dogs head gets smashed into the RV door leaving a dog head imprint is a reference to Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives when that girls head is smashed into the RV door leaving her face imprint? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.39.83.228 (talk) 01:42, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would suggest writing out RV in full first time it is used. I appreciate it's wikilinked but for a simple edit which wouldn't tempt people to click away from the page, I think it's a simple change to make.

It's only one minor point, so I will leave it up to you to change, and I will pass the article. Another good read and well-structured. Meets all the GA criteria. Well done.
