Hello Kjp001, great start to your article! It looks like the source from The Big Cookie Company has some great information and facts for your Origin and History section. It would also be really cool if you could find some of their primary sources or others that mention lemon bars around the time of their conception in the 1930s or so.

I think your organization is great, and the sections you've included make sense for your topic. Maybe it would be cool to include some recipes in the ingredients section, I'm not sure if that's acceptable or not for a Wikipedia article.

It also might be cool to include health/nutrition information, but that would also vary by recipe. Here's a page I found with some references that might be useful. Avocadude (talk) 22:05, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome to see a new article, great work Kjp001. Also Avocadude great to see you giving a word of encouragement. But... no recipes please. We have a policy on that one - [here for the details]

Hi @Kjp001:. I was looking at your Big Cookie Company link (great info), but I was wondering what other sources might exist to backup this information. So, I asked social media, and some librarians replied. One librarian found the original Chicago newspaper article mentioned by Big Cookie Company - so you can cite that! Here's the link to the source that has the article. https://jessicahitstheroad.com/the-lemon-bars/ Also, I have to mention that I've never craved a lemon bar, until now. I'm apparently going to have to make some! Bridges2Information (talk) 05:16, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

History of Lemon Bars

[edit]

This 1788 cookbook has recipes for Lemon Cheese Cakes and Lemon Flummery. Possibly precursors to Lemon Bars? Bridges2Information (talk) 21:56, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
