@Utcursch:, I hope you are fine and healthy. Please have a look at this article. A topic related to Chaulukya dynasty. Please improve if you can and do needful changes. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:15, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nizil Shah: Thanks for notifying me. @Santoshdts: Thanks for creating this article. Consider nominating this for Wikipedia:Did you know. utcursch | talk 14:37, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nizil Shah: @Utcursch: Thank you for reviewing the article and suggestion on nominating it on DYK. I do have a hook in mind for dyk, I am planning to nominate it by tomorrow. I would like to know, whether I can post a draft of a DYK hook here and get your inputs and refine it, or it's not allowed according to wp policy? Thank you again. Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 18:05, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Santoshdts:, Drafts cannot be submitted for DYK. The article must be in mainspace. The new article must be submitted within 7 days od its creation. See all rules at WP:DYK. Regards, Nizil (talk) 03:07, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You can nominate multiple DYK hooks there. You can discuss and refine them there too. You can propose it here and then nominate too but should be done within time. Nizil (talk) 03:10, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Santoshdts: Welcome to DYK! The article is new enough and long enough, AGF on sourcing. I needed to do some copyediting for missing definite articles and the like, which I suspect is just Indian English in action. You only have one credit right now, so you are QPQ-exempt. ALT0 slams against the 200-character limit and needs some copyediting and ALT1 is way over (and not interesting at all). I'd like to suggest a new version of ALT0 that is less wordy and hopefully more interesting: Raymie (tc) 06:21, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
ALT0a: ... that the Lekhapaddhati includes specimens of letters and documents intended to be used by administrators during Chaulukya rule in Gujarat, India?
@Raymie: Thank you for reviewing the DYK nomination and suggesting a new hook. The new new hook looks fine and interesting. However, I would like to know your opinion on the following alteration to your suggestion:
ALT0b:... that the Lekhapaddhati, a guidebook written in Sanskrit, includes specimens of letters and documents intended to be used by administrators during Chaulukya rule in Gujarat, India?
Thank you again Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 14:53, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Santoshdts: I added an extra comma, but that would be acceptable too, judging by the preview of the accompanying cite. Raymie (tc) 18:50, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Raymie: This looks perfect, I hope we can proceed with this. Regards Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 19:33, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination and Prose siza

[edit]

Hello, I've just nominated the article for DYK. request you to take a look and refine it if you feel necessary. But, strangely the prose size script on my system is considering only the Lead and not the whole "readable text" in the article. Could this cause an issue while DYK review? Thank you Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 11:14, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On my system, the script shows this: Prose size (text only): 3016 characters (454 words) "readable prose size". utcursch | talk 17:06, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Utcursch: I got it right now, I guess, some other scripts were conflicting. Thank you for reply. Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 19:47, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
