A basic premise of this article is nonsense. We should change it.
[edit]There is zero relation between the S1 of 1996 and the other listed cameras (S2, S-006, S-007, and S3), other than that they're digital cameras with larger-than-36x24mm sensors. They don't use the same lenses or function in even a similar way. These cameras are not truly a system. Leica may have chosen the name S2 to remind people that it had made a larger-sensor digital camera previously, but that was basically a marketing stunt. Wikipedia should not indulge that nonsense.
So what to do? I think we should remove the S1 from this list, and explain the S2 name by stating that it appears to have been Leica's attempt to remind people of the history. The S2, S-006, S-007, and S3 do of course form a system, sharing lenses and basic functions. Maybe the S1 could have its own section, explaining what it was.
