no X at Carrhae

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think the Roman army in the Late Republic had two legions carrying the same numerical designation at once (what would the purpose of that be?). Since the 10th was famously serving under Caesar in Gaul from 58 BC and all the way through the civil wars of the 40s, it cannot have been one of the legions at Carrhae under Crassus. I'm not sure whether we know the numerical designations of Crassus's legions, which are not identified in the current Battle of Carrhae article. Cynwolfe (talk) 12:49, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
