Guest section
[edit]Could the Legends of Tomorrow (season 2)#Guest section be split into starring arrowverse characters guest appearing on Legends and regular TV guest characters? I was actually reading that section to see who from the main cast was present in each season and noticed that it's really hard to dig through for no apparent reason. This is relevant to all 4 season articles. --Gonnym (talk) 17:37, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Anyone with experience on season articles may do whatever they feel is fine. All I know is, guest actors are those with less than four appearances in a season. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:00, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- I tend not to jump in articles others have worked on and change stuff, especially when there is a high chance of it being reverted right away and ending in a discussion, and prefer to ask on the talk page instead. If you don't object then I'll do the work. What I mean was not to change what is guest appearance, but just separate the list so that the arrowvesrse starring characters which guest appear on Legends will be separated from the other legends-only guest characters, as while both are "guest characters" technically, the first group has a much more important role than the second. --Gonnym (talk) 18:06, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

What do you think? --Gonnym (talk) 19:10, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Brojam, Alex and Favre1fan93, what do you say? I'm clueless, but I think Gonnym's suggestion helps reduce clutter. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:33, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think it's necessary. What makes the Arrowverse appearances (many of whom have never been on the show before) more important than say a past actor guest starring or any guest star? Also, if I recall correctly, I don't think WP:MOSTV is particularly fond of sublists for guest stars, but Favre and Alex would know more about that. - Brojam (talk) 05:05, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- How I see it - the Arrowverse appearances are more akin to a recurring role. They are part of a larger story with Legends being one part of it (something similar to mentioning an uncredited cameo appearance of Chris Evans in Thor: The Dark World#Cast, the only reason it's worth mentioning is because his part in the larger story). Also, if you go another route, the Agents of SHIELD seasons only mention "Notable guests" which is basically my split section. As a side note @Brojam, I couldn't find what you were talking about in MOSTV, could you please point me to where that is? --Gonnym (talk) 07:36, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- I was going to suggest a format similar to the Agents of SHIELD season articles, but Gonnym already mentioned it. I think the AoS articles are a good references, but I don't believe they are exactly the same. Because of the nature of this series, the guests who portray the historical figures are good to point out. I'd be fine keeping the formatting as is, or separating the two types of guests as Gonnym suggested. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 14:47, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Favre1fan93: if we do split, have any suggestions for section names? --Gonnym (talk) 15:10, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- I think more or less how you have it. Because we shouldn't have multiple level 3 headers, but I don't think there is any issue with multiple level 4 headers. And we want to avoid saying "Guest" a lot, so I think how you have it is fine. I might change the "Arrowverse" one to simply "Notable", but that isn't huge in my opinion. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:13, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
