I'll review this article shortly; going to wait a couple days since this just got a peer review. Wizardman 05:19, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues I found:

  • I'd like to see the lead expanded, feels weak as is.
  • "and a provision shop," bit confused as to what provision shop means.
  • " Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army (MPAJA) and shot" since it's the only mention the abbreviation isn't needed.
  • I'm not convinced that File:Old Poh Ern Shih Temple.jpg needs to be in the article; we already have one non-free image of him and this doesn't really add anything to the article.

I'll put the article on hold and will pass when the above issues are fixed. Wizardman 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the review. I have removed the unneeded abbreviation and image. Could you elaborate on why the lead is weak and how it could be expanded? As for provision shops, their Western counterpart would probably be convenience stores. --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 15:20, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good; personally, I think a bit more could be added to the lead; it does cover the main points, it just feels a bit short to me. I'll mull it over since the article isn't too long, so the lead doesn't need to be all that detailed. Wizardman 03:47, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought you're right, after a skim there's nothing else that absolutely needs to be in the lead, so I'll pass the article. Wizardman 03:53, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
