Hi, I will be reviewing this against the GA criteria as part of a GAN sweep. I'll leave some comments soon. JAGUAR  17:38, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reviewing the article. Although this might not be a good time for me (since I had another semester coming up soon), I will try to catch things up. NgYShung huh? 04:22, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the inconvenience this might bring. I'll try to make this review as swift as possible. JAGUAR  14:07, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Checking against the GA criteria

[edit]
GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
"Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei (born 21 October 1982..." - not sure what this is, but definitely remove it as it obstructs the opening sentence
The Personal life section's paragraphs are little choppy. Ideally they should be merged into three paragraphs for better flow; or you could just merge the three smaller paragraphs into one
"Lee took a swipe at chief coach Yap Kim Hock soon after the defeat" - what does 'took a swipe' mean in this context? Is it metaphorical or did he try to hit him?
All of the little paragraphs in the 2016 section could be merged into one big one
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
    No original research found.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

This article is looking great! Once all of the minor issues are addressed then this should easily pass. JAGUAR  14:15, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've fixed the "taken a swipe" (it means like criticising someone) sentence just to be more clear for readers. I also join together the paragraphs at the 2016 section and also the personal life section. By the way the "Datuk Wira" was added by someone, which I've never heard of that before, but now it is reverted back to Dato' now. NgYShung huh? 09:34, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for clearing that up. I've looked through the article again and am happy that this meets the criteria (it was very close before I reviewed it anyway). It is well written, comprehensive and the sources all check out. JAGUAR  17:48, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
