The year needs to be verified:
"Silver was discovered in Leadville in 1879"
Some accounts give an earlier year. Richard Myers (talk) 01:42, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Single causation
[edit]The article's 2nd sentence reads:
- "The Leadville miners' strike in 1896-97 occurred during, and as a result of, rapid industrialization and consolidation of the mining industry." (bolding added)
Although the body of the article documents how industrialization contributed to the strike, to describe it as the sole cause does not seem to be supported by the text, and falls into the Fallacy of the single cause. Comments? Plazak (talk) 04:20, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Name change
[edit]Is there any reason why Miners' in the article title is capitalized? A minor point, but it bugs me. Also, I believe it would be useful to put the date in the title, making it Leadville miners' strike (1896-1897). Comments?

Leadville miners' strike → Leadville miners' strike of 1896 – there were other labor walkouts of miners at Leadville, both before and after this one. The title should be more specific to avoid confusion. Plazak (talk) 03:45, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
- Support natural disambiguation, or Leadville miner's strike (1896). I presume the other strikes are merely mentions in a more general article on Leadville?. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:07, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose None of the other strikes have articles. An RfC showed no consensus for lengthening titles to avoid conflicts with things that do not have their own articles. Pppery 21:47, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PRECISE. There are no other articles currently using the title and we don't preemptively disambiguate. Sourced info about other strikes can be added to this article, or other articles can be created and this one moved at that time if necessary. Station1 (talk) 18:24, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
