Wrong name

[edit]

@Darryl Kerrigan: Pretty sure for organizations that have alternate names in another language, we just have the official English name as the article title for en.wikipedia.org and we'd list the other name (as you already have) in the page. Have you seen guidance otherwise? —Joeyconnick (talk) 18:19, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, I am not aware of any Wikipedia policy on that question. I hadn't realized that the organization had a French name when the article was created. Perhaps because of official bilingualism which has been drilled into me over the years, I assumed both should be included. Of course, Wikipedia articles are meant to be written for an international audience, and this is an English language portal of Wikipedia. I am mostly indifferent to whether the A L'action name is used or not. I would expect it would make sense if the organization is known prominently by both, which I am not sure is the case here. Furthermore, I am not actually sure how active the organization is Quebec or other parts of French Canada as A L'action. If the consensus is to use the English name only, I am not opposed. I note also that I added a Canadian English tag to the talk page, for what that is worth. Anyway, I digress...--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 18:45, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, as far as I am aware there is no French language website for the organization, and the name A L'action seems to also be used, and more prominently used, by a news publication.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting vandalism

[edit]

This article was vandalized at 2 AM on June 5th 2020 to insert overt politicization of the subject matter. The article has since been edited by the co-ED of the organization to reverse the vandalism. Transparency disclosure: I work at Leadnow which is what first brought this vandalism to my attention. DynamicUno (talk) 21:42, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
