[edit]I have removed the following text as it looks like original research to me:
"Although the line is still in use no obvious remains of the station exist; a wasteground and former Cotty Brook public house are to one side, and a private housing development is on the other. The former entrances can be identified through the different style bricks used to stop-up the tunnels adjacent to the footpath. It is proposed that a new station at Cottam[citation needed] would be built in a nearby location to Lea Road."
