First 'Step'
[edit]Created this (for-now) stub to take note of the Sergei Prokofiev ballet 'Le Pas d'acier' (The Steel Step), which until now has had no Wikipedia article. There is a lot of additional material to add, including the charges of formalism Prokofiev faced, partly due to this particular ballet, later in his life from the Soviet authorities after World War Two. 1926 'return to Russia'
[edit]I've twice now corrected the erroneous statement that Prokofiev made a 'return to Russia' in 1926. He had left Russia in 1918, and did not return there until 1927. Not having immediate access to Sayers' article, I don't know whether the fault is due to Sayers (presumably the kind of typo all writers do from time to time, when they type the wrong name when they have several in mind), or a plain mis-reading of what she wrote. In any case, we shouldn't perpetuate a blatant error of fact. If, on the other hand, someone can confirm that Sayers - or anyone else - wrote that it was Yakulov who returned to Russia in 1926, then do amend the text accordingly. Thank you.
