Merge to Lawrence, Massachusetts#Library
[edit]This short article might be more useful as an illustrated paragraph in the Lawrence, Massachusetts article. -- M2545 (talk) 12:12, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, my rationale for creating a separate article was to highlight the building. Although not always appreciated in Lawrence, it is a prime example of Brutalism. By doing a separate article, I could include it in the category "Brutalist architecture in Massachusetts" and in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_brutalist_structures. Brutalist buildings are being knocked down, and a catalog of all examples is needed. Lawrence's library should be in that catalog. I had originally provided some great architectural photos of the library for this article, but they were removed because I didn't have copyright. I had hoped this article would be expanded upon by others. Cbmccarthy (talk) 00:22, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Cbmccarthy: If "Lawrence Public Library (Massachusetts)" were a redirect to Lawrence, Massachusetts it could still 1. be linked to in lists, and 2. include architecture-related categories. Redirects appear in italics on category pages (see Category:Public libraries in Massachusetts for examples). -- M2545 (talk) 08:43, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
