About being a Painter

Did he teach or did he not?
[edit]Throughout his life, he never had to support himself as a teacher or commercial artist (as all the other Group of Seven members had to do), but could support himself as a full-time painter. However Robert Genn is listed as a student? Can this be substantiated by any source material; if so - the text is contradictory. Ernstblumberg (talk) 13:56, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- See Robert Genn talk page (discussion) for clarification on Genn meeting Harris as opposed to studying with him. Ernstblumberg (talk) 07:49, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- 'See Also' section surely detracts from the overall, otherwise excellent, standard of the article? Ernstblumberg (talk) 13:52, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Was he a member of the RCA
[edit]I'm getting mixed information here. Here I see he was. http://sim-publishing.com/bca/rca.htm
but he's not listed as a member in the member's list on the old RCA website. https://web.archive.org/web/20201022141842/http://rca-arc.ca/who-we-are/members/members-since-1880/
Does anyone have a definitive answer? Beltpreservative (talk) 20:57, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
