November 2009 changes
[edit]After this article had been dormant for over a year, I tagged it with {{prod-nn}}
on 11 November.
User:Phil Bridger edited the article on 13 November, removing the prod with the comment, "you can't expect to find search hits for the exact phrasing of the previous title", renaming the article from International law firm networks and associations to Law firm network, removing the {{unreferenced}}
tag, and adding references to two books to the lede.
Looking at the result, I saw that many of the article's issues had not been addressed. My guess was that this was probably because the article hadn't been tagged with them, such as {{orphan}}
. I've now tagged this article with many of the problems it has, and did some copyediting along the way as well.
The primary issues:
- Article has no incoming wikilinks.
- Article had no outgoing wikilinks: I've added some, but if it sticks around, it really needs to be wikified.
- Almost every paragraph contains weasel words: "most", "some", "tend to", "many", "commonly", "some sort", "more", "generally", and so on. On most articles, I'd either find sourcing and reword (my top choice) or just delete this sort of sentence. As there are no references for the body of the article, and if all the weasel-worded sentences were deleted there'd be no article left, I've just tagged the places that need fixing (yes, there's a lot of them).
It either needs to be referenced & cleaned up (again, my #1 choice) or it needs to be merged/deleted. If someone can find solid sources (and maybe some incoming wikilinks!), go for it. Dori ❦ (Talk ❖ Contribs ❖ Review) ❦ 02:51, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Yes, I know I should WP:DIY, but I've got other irons in the fire at present. My concern is that we have several inline spam links for the various organizations/law firms that are using the article to extoll their networks and post inappropriate links. Comments (and assistance) about this issue are welcome. – S. Rich (talk) 22:38, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Law firm network. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20110928194601/http://www.hg.org/law-firm-networks.html to http://www.hg.org/law-firm-networks.html/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
