External links
[edit]These links to TV.com and TVrage don't follow the guide to external links and should be removed.

- I must be missing the part that says that then. Please explain further. MiraLuka 07:57, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, first let me compliment the touché. Always good to get the other person to make the opening bid.
- Wikipedia is not a web directory and links both need to satisfy one of the positive criteria while avoiding the negative ones. These fall under "3. Links that are added to promote a site." There's nothing at the site that is a unique resource. They should be removed.

- Well, I agree that it's not a unique resource, but isn't it useful to have a link to episode descriptions? MiraLuka 07:19, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is that what makes this list of episode descriptions the one we choose? And why (if it's thought required) wouldn't it be better to have that material in the article, as opposed to feeding traffic to an external site? - brenneman{L} 16:38, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, of course it would be better to have that information in the article, but since it's not there, isn't a link useful? As for this site in particular, I have no special attachment to it other than the fact that it was the one that was already linked to. Although I see nothing wrong with the current links, if you think another site would be better, I have no objection. MiraLuka 02:16, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Take 2
[edit]The following discussion was copied here from my talk page in order to clarify the reasoning behind changing the external links in this series of articles. —Mira 09:29, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
You're right, we did go over this. More to the point, you're right I did fail to respond. Unfortunate of me, and I apologise unreservedly. Not appropiate of me to do slow-motion revert warring like that.
brenneman {L} 09:05, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- No apology needed, really.
I am still willing to talk about this if you like...As I was writing that, a random thought occurred to me. Maybe there's some kind of episode guide at the "official" Law & Order site. Would that kind of link be more acceptable? I'll go look to see if something like that exists. —Mira 09:11, 17 June 2006 (UTC) - Here's one from NBC.com. [1] —Mira 09:17, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm very happy with that. Thanks for being flexible. - brenneman {L} 09:23, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
