Hi. I uploaded File:Lauren Alaina.jpg out of this photoset because it seemed like it cast the subject in a better light than the rest. That is, the most natural facial expression, no blurry parts, etc. This was shortly replaced with File:Lauren Alaina in parade.jpg which, while it shows the subject fully facing the camera lens, has blurry aspects and the subject is caught mid-facial expression change (or so it appears). I would propose that we use the former photo. This is not a "I uploaded it so I'm right" proposal, but a "Let's think about the article subject, a living person, and what photo would be more appropriate for them." I prefer File:Lauren Alaina in parade.jpg somewhat. I see what you mean about the facial expression, but I think that having the background out-of-focus helps by not distracting the eye. I don't know for sure that the subject would prefer it, but I don't think it's objectionable. —Tim Pierce (talk) 17:45, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
I agree it is a better picture. I think you should just crop the picture - remove most of the rest and focus in on the person in portrait dimension, that should improve it quite a bit. Hzh (talk) 10:30, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
