Thank you for helping Victuallers (talk) 19:27, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Elisa.rolle: I'm quite happy to do a DYK for this (thinking of ... that Laura Barney Harding called herself "Katharine Hepburn's other half") but the book citations will need page numbers first. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:47, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
she called herself "Miss Hepburn’s husband": "Setting tongues wagging, Laura had once answered an RKO official’s demand to know who she was by declaring curtly, “Miss Hepburn’s husband.”" Mann, William J.. Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn (Kindle Location 527). Henry Holt and Co.. Kindle Edition. and "Hepburn told this story herself in Me. It was also recalled by several members of Harding’s family, among whom it had long been part of Laura’s “lore.”" Mann, William J.. Kate: The Woman Who Was Hepburn (Kindle Locations 10573-10574). Henry Holt and Co.. Kindle Edition. BTW if you manage to have it as DYK, I would be glad to let William know about it. Elisa.rolle (talk) 22:58, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I meant page numbers in the original book - not everyone has a Kindle, some of us read books on an archive.org loan and some, like myself, live down the road from the local library and still read books on paper. I can't get a preview on Google Books to do it myself. I suspect Megalibrarygirl, being a librarian and all that, will be able to ferret a copy out and get the citations fixed up. Google Books ;-) --Elisa.rolle (talk) 23:13, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get a preview of any text when I follow that link; I think Google Books has blocked the book where I am. I have added the page numbers for that claim; now we need page numbers for the remaining 14 citations to Mann in the article. I would do this myself, but obviously without a working Books preview, I can't! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 23:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ritchie333: Done. Elisa.rolle (talk) 23:41, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Template:Did you know nominations/Laura Barney Harding - if anyone has any other hooks, add them to the nomination. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 23:49, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Great work, Elisa.rolle! Keep it up! :D Megalibrarygirl (talk) 00:03, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth

[edit]

The previous version had that she "was born on June 2, 1902 (...) at 1816 South Rittenhouse Square on Philadelphia Main Line". Unless there is any evidence for a 1816 South Rittenhouse Square on the Main line, I would think that what is meant is Rittenhouse Square in downtown Philly. 2601:185:302:177A:69DA:1233:C342:C824 (talk) 03:42, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
