No Ministry of Defence in WWI

[edit]

In the 'History' section it is stated "the Ministry of Defence" used the building as a hospital. There was no Ministry of Defence in the period concerned, but, by 1918, three single-service ministries, one of which could have run the hospital depending on which service the officer patients were from - the War Office (army), Admiralty (navy) and Air Ministry (RAF). The same situation applied in WWII although the Prime Minister, Churchill, had self-appointed overall responsibility as "Minister of Defence". I advise a check of sources.Cloptonson (talk) 19:22, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New photo

[edit]

I've added a new photo taken today to the Latchmere House today section. The hoardings which had blocked the view from Latchmere Lane came down about a month ago. Due to the size of what I saw in the viewfinder, I didn't realise that a couple of bits of branches were showing either side of the image until after I uploaded it. I have the RAW file, so I'll try to do a slight crop getting rid of those, and replace this version. David Underdown (talk) 20:36, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
