Expansion

[edit]

This article should be removed and any relevant information moved to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrove_Tuesday as it is the same celebration. There is also a page about this celebration in Finnish where information of the US version could be added to: http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laskiainen Eeviko (talk) 17:54, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is sorely in need of expansion. It should tell more about the history and tradition of the original Finnish holiday. Right now almost a third of the article is about celebrating Laskiainen in Palo, USA. JIP | Talk 13:34, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have added more material about Finnish Laskiainen based on fi:Laskiainen. The length of the article has grown almost three-fold. It's about time an article about a Finnish celebration actually contained material about Finnish traditions, not just American ones. JIP | Talk 15:10, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
