unclear importance?
[edit]Las Chicas Del Can has been a certified platinum gold act for several years and that alone should be important enough to feature them in Wikipedia. Not only were Las Chicas Del Can succesfull in their own country Santo Domingo - Dominican Republic, but also in the USA, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, The Netherlands, etc. I can provide proof of that later if needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.84.234.57 (talk) 23:22, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
AFAIK 'Las Chicas Del Can' has been pretty well known, eventhought only in the smaller Carribean/South-American communities. Hopefully Wikipedia does want to keep on documenting stuff like this... especially b/c it's hard to find info on Las Chicas Del Can I feel the tag 'unclear importance' is an idiot one. Their song Negro del Can and Juana la Cubana are true classics at many Carribean / South American fests 212.83.71.69 23:33, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Unclear importance was certainly added due to lack of independent references. Yahoo Music show 10 albums, however, so they certainly pass WP:MUSIC. I removed the notability tag. More independent sources would be great, still. Sorted as part of the Notability Wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 21:26, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Piano Player For las Chicas
[edit]I want to personally acknowledge Yanina Peguero who was the pianist for this all female group from 1982-1987. It saddens me that she was forgotten. I remember you Yanina, I always will.

Orthography corrected
[edit]There were no accents in this article. I added them. We need this article in Spanish, ¡por favor! Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 171.69.75.3 (talk) 18:56, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Please improve the style!
[edit]Ok OK, I Understand maybe all that stuff about Wilfrido Vargas "creating" las Chicas del Can is Bulls.... but PLEASE don't write such a low-level article you too: 1.- Avoid the use of first person narrative (i.e. "as I said before, Wilfrido didn't create las Chicas del Can") 2.- Avoid to write "Bulls..." :P but it's true, I know you can tell the true but still Wikipedia needs to have a correct writting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.50.9.76 (talk) 01:38, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
