Fair use rationale for Image:Flash Speeder.jpg
[edit]Image:Flash Speeder.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

WH40K Landspeeder
[edit]Shall we highlight the obvious connection to the 40k vehicle of the same name in the cultural impact section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by IamBrianBlessed (talk • contribs) 21:49, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Built around an Ogle sports car?
[edit]Could we find a better citation for the claim that the landspeeder was built around an Ogle sports car? The linked reference really sounds like it was custom-built by Ogle rather than starting from an existing car -- and the Ogle Design page lists the landspeeder as an Ogle design and notes that the company ceased selling cars by 1964, but cites a significant amount of later custom design work. 50.0.150.25 (talk) 01:25, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
Update: See Bond Bug and [1]: The landspeeder was built, by Ogle Design, on the chassis of a "Bond Bug" -- which was a vehicle designed by Ogle but built by Reliant. See also [2] for further validation. 50.0.150.25 (talk) 01:38, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Designer of Luke's Landspeeder?
[edit]Do we have a reference that Luke's landspeeder was designed by John Stears? All the articles I can find cite Tom Karen of Ogle Design with designing it as well as constructing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.0.150.25 (talk) 01:45, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
