- ... that the Land of Lost Content (pictured) contains bluebirds from the Blue Bird Toffee factory gates, the first National Lottery ticket and a Sinclair C5? - New enough, just long enough (1776 characters), within policy. Hook is interesting. QPQ done. Looks good to go. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:10, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
Museum about to close in 2022
[edit]I have read in local newspaper that the museum is about to close, Stella Mitchell and her husband, who are retiring, having sold the collection as one lot to another. Am looking for that newspaper hoping I can add some updating information. The Museum's Facebook page indicates it would close in 4 years time but I wouldn't rely on that alone. On 20 June it was posted that it would be open for the rest of this year and 'all next year'.Cloptonson (talk) 21:03, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- To update, I have heard today on Radio Shropshire news that this museum is to close at the end of this month (May 2023), although Stella Mitchell does not rule out holding exhibitions of some of the contents. I am sure newspaper reports that will also report this development will be available online to cite. Its Friends Facebook page states date precisely 30 May, the closure forced by "the insistence of a business partner".Cloptonson (talk) 14:41, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
